듣는성경선교회 HEAR the WORD는 구전문화권 민족들을 위해 성경을 번역하고 듣는성경을 전하기 위한 선교회입니다.
전 세계의 6,912개의 언어 중 신.구약이 모두 번역된 언어는 511개 언어 뿐입니다. 3,000개 이상의 언어는 문자가 없고, 세계 각국에는 수 많은 문맹자와 문해력이 약한 사람들이 있습니다. 세계 70억 인구 중 2/3의 사람들이 구전 의사소통을 문자보다 더 편하게 사용하고 있습니다. 자기 언어의 문자가 없거나 국가 공용어를 잘 읽지 사람들에게는 성경을 구전 방식으로 전하는 것이 필요합니다.
문자 사용을 하지 않는 민족들을 위해 듣는성경선교회 HEAR the WORD는 성경을 번역하고 녹음하여 듣는성경을 만듭니다. 세상 모든 민족이 글을 몰라도 하나님 말씀을 들을 수 있게하는 것이 듣는성경선교회 HEAR the WORD의 사명입니다.
